Linda Ellerbee on “Dangerous Mexico”

The following is an excerpt from a column by Emmy winning  journalist, producer, news anchor Linda Ellerbee.  Anyone and everyone with question about the safety of traveling to Mexico and Rocky Point should read this.  While Ms. Ellerbee writes about her home away from home (Puerto Vallarta), the exact same words apply to Rocky Point.  It’s a compelling read for anyone with questions or concerns about the safety of Rocky Point, or Mexico in general, and the damage the media is doing.

“I’m a journalist who lives in New York City, but has spent considerable time in Mexico, specifically Puerto Vallarta, for the last four years. I’m in Vallarta now. And despite what I’m getting from the U.S. media, the 24-hour news networks in particular, I feel as safe here as I do at home in New York, possibly safer.

But that’s not the whole story. Neither is this. This is my story….”
